The time is now to push forward a community revisioning for the Albany Riverfront. For the first time ever, substantial state and federal infrastructure funding is available for projects just like this. Cities across the country are joining a national movement to reconsider the deeply problematic legacy of their urban highways. The forces of change are aligning and we must seize this opportunity to make our city a more inclusive, more connected, more sustainable community.

You can engage in the work of reimagining the Albany Riverfront in a number of key ways:

• Join the Albany Riverfront Collaborative Leadership Team! Consider volunteering for the Board of Directors or Committees. The ARC is currently seeking individuals for the following positions: Member of the Board of Directors; and Co-Chair of the Community Engagement Committee. See details below.

• Sign our Change.org petition to “Achieve our Potential: Re-connect Albany NY Communities and the River”

• Contact your local representative (see list below) and pressure them to support a plan to redevelop the waterfront.

• Consider a donation to the Albany Riverfront Collaborative to support our public outreach and visioning work.

• Follow the ARC on Facebook (and share with others!)

Make A Difference - Join the Albany Riverfront Collaborative Leadership Team! 

The ARC is currently seeking individuals for the following positions: 

·  Member of the Board of Directors; and 

·  Co-Chair of the Community Engagement Committee.

In an effort to promote Board and Committee diversity we are particularly welcoming BIPOC community members, who are Albany residents, under the age of 40. This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact in your community. Please consider becoming an advocate for this transformative project.
